Imagine this:

You have just bought a great new pair of white Gucci shoes and want to show them off to the world. So you hit the town with your friends one night and go out to eat. Around 11 o’clock your best friend spills a glass of merlot all over them! What do you do when you get home?

Most people would try to get the stain out of their Bottega Veneta on their own. The problem is, this can cause the stain to get worse or even ruin the material that the shoes are made from. Scrubbing and using harsh chemicals and soaps are terrible for most shoes and they may never be the same.

For something as nice as a pair of Prada shoes, I would suggest trying to have time professionally cleaned somewhere. Try asking your local dry cleaner if they will clean them. If they don’t clean them themselves, ask if they know somewhere that will. There will surely be somewhere in town where you can have them cleaned well and you won’t run the risk of ruining such an investment.

And next time you go out, don’t sit next to your goofy friend who likes to spill her merlot. It could be a disaster for your wardrobe! (But try to be nice about it at the same time; you don’t want to hurt her feelings)
