The amount of money that I was going to get in five years was way more than I had ever imagined. I knew that since I had won the case, it was going to be a big number but never did I think it would be that big. The structured settlement was for over five hundred thousand dollars that was to be paid in full in five years. I have had several people tell me that I could sell structured settlement payments and get a big portion of that right now.

I do have some money saved up and my job is going fine, so I think that I might just pass on the deal to sell structured settlement payments to some company, only to not get the entire amount. I think that it might cut down on the amount of people who think that they will be getting some of it too, if they have time to forget about it.

Those that know about the structured settlement and are truly my friends, would not ask me for a dime and will not treat me any differently than what they had before. I suppose that in five years, I will find out who my real friends are.
