One Million Dollars for Preservation

I went to an auction last month with my dad because he did not want to go alone in case he bought any big items that he needed to lift into his car. I never expected to buy anything since it was an estate sale and usually there are just antiques and junk at those. I got the program for the day as soon as we got there and started to look it over while my dad went and signed up for a bid number.

I got to the fourth page of the schedule and stopped reading; there were a lot of used servers that they were going to be auctioning off. The majority of the people that were at this auction were quite old and I knew that they would not want anything to do with the used poweredge servers that were being sold today.

I called up my business partner and told him to bring me over a blank check to use when I won the used servers. He got very excited about the lot and told me that he would be there within a few hours, since the lot was not scheduled to go before noon.

When the used servers lot came up, the auctioneer started the bidding at one thousand dollars and I raised my number. Only four other people tried to bid against me and I got all twenty of the used poweredge servers for less than three thousand dollars and I knew that after refurbishing them, I would make about ten times that amount on them.

The sale that was being advertised on the website seemed to be too good. I could not believe that they would actually sell refurbished used hp servers at that low of a price. I was hoping that I could convince my boss to buy some used proliant servers before they changed it though. I had been pricing them for the past few months and this price would put these about fifty percent lower than any I had seen.

I had a meeting scheduled for later in the day with my boss to go over the numbers and see if I could get him to sign off on purchasing the used proliant servers for our office that would make it twice as efficient as it currently was. He knew that we should have new ones, but just kept having me call in the tech department to put a band aid on it every other week.

In the meantime, our sales are down and the days that the servers have issues do not help. After he saw the price of the used hp servers compared to all the other companies out there, he told me to order them and not tell anyone about the purchase.

I need to find a new janitorial supplies company before the boss gets back. I fired the old ones last week when they brought the cleaning products that I had ordered only four hours before, late and expected me to pay their rush deliver charge. The deal was that they would get to the office by five and they actually came at about six thirty. They could not understand why I did not want to pay them the extra forty dollars on top of the normal delivery charges.

I have contacted some other local shops and they all have the same policies and prices as the janitorial supplies company that I just got rid of. My sister told me that I should check out some cleaning products companies online and see if they can help me. I had never thought of doing that but it made sense. I needed to be able to find one that was somewhat close so that if I needed something quickly, that I could have it rush ordered and they would have it to me overnight.

I have gone ahead and placed two separate orders with two different companies to see which one delivers the quickest. They both had great prices, in fact their prices were much lower than the ones from the local shop and the shipping charges are low too.

My only problem with my current office supply provider is that the delivery man never gets to our office on time. We have all taken turns staying after work on Tuesday, which is our deliver day. Now, if I do not get the order in on time on Friday which is the deadline, then I have to pay extra to still get my late Tuesday delivery. I have asked them many times how they can charge me if I am late, but I do not get to charge them or get a credit if their delivery guy is late for me.

I have looked into hiring a different discount office supplies company but I am not sure if it will pay to hire someone else to get there on time if I am paying more for each item. I think that my boss has explained to me many times that he has thought about changing discount office supplies companies many times but always comes back to the great prices that our current office supply company has.

If only I could find someone cheaper that could get us great prices and a guaranteed delivery time that would not require any of us to stay after work for no pay on Tuesdays, then I would be the hero of the office.

I would love to find out how it is that ReputationManagers.com is able to get such a good start on some of the worst things that people and businesses do and turn them around to have people look at them like they are good people and companies again. I know of a company that treated their employees horribly, reports came out about it and everyone was going to boycott them and as soon as they hired ReputationManagers.com, their reputation started to turn around.

I am assuming that this company had to pay a lot of money for all of the good press but it was definitely worth it. I had heard people say that they were not going to go to this company ever again and they are now frequent shoppers there. I myself do not look at the negatives or the positives. If I like the company then as long as they do not do anything to me, I use them.

ReputationManagers.com must be one of the best out there, if not the best that you can hire. Their list of clients reads like a who’s who of Hollywood and their list of fortune 500 companies is just as long.

When my husband got a big raise at work, we knew exactly what we were going to do with the money. My husband and I fell in love with the area and knew that we would like to come back and stay here for a few months out of the year. The property for sale in Spain was very affordable and they were gorgeous. So many of them had an old antique feel to them and it was very beautiful.

When we had to return, and had not found the perfect property for sale in Spain just yet, we kept in touch with the real estate agent we had met by email. She was able to keep us up to date on all of the new properties that entered the market every day. By the end of the month, we had found our dream home in Spain without even stepping into it.

Our best friends had a similar experience in the fact that they had gone to Greece to visit some family and while they were there, they bought a Greek property. When they headed for Greece, they had no intention of buying a house there, but they said that once they saw some of the beautiful Greek property that they just knew that they had to buy a home there.

I was shocked to find out that our home had aluminum siding under the vinyl siding. I thought you would have to remove the aluminum siding before you put the vinyl siding on. So, I called a Chicago siding company and they came out and looked at my house to see if they could tell me why it would have been installed that way. When they first looked at it, they shook their head and were not sure how they accomplished this feat. They were not sure if we should remove the vinyl siding to then remove the aluminum siding and put on the appropriate outer insulation on or not. My husband and I talked about it that night and decided to have it done right. I guess you can turn the aluminum in for scrap and get money back for it. Then maybe it would help to incur the cost of having this Chicago siding company put vinyl siding on our home that already had vinyl siding on it. I scheduled it to be done during the week of my vacation even though I would be there for everything they did. I just wanted to be there and see what all needed to be done to make it right. They did everything that they said they would do and I was very happy.
